For more than 25 years, our reed diffusers have been one of my favorite ways to bring long-lasting luxury home fragrance into everyday rooms. I think of them as “always-on” fragrance, quietly scenting a room throughout the day without a flame or anything to plug in. Each diffuser is made with our proprietary fragrance blend and natural reeds, creating a steady, noticeable scent that becomes part of the way a room feels. Inspired by our years in Italy, we’ve always thought of fragrance as another design element in the home.

Each Alora reed diffuser pairs a custom fragrance blend with a set of natural reed sticks, releasing scent slowly into a room from the moment you set it out. Choose an 8 oz diffuser for a smaller space or a shorter season with a scent, or a 16 oz for a room you want fragranced a little longer. 

A reed diffuser keeps a steady layer of fragrance in the room, and a spritz of room spray on top gives you a quick lift whenever you want the scent to feel a little more present.

FAQs About Luxury Home Fragrance Reed Diffusers

Our 8 oz diffusers last roughly 1 to 3 months, and our 16 oz diffusers last roughly 3 to 5 months, so you can choose based on how long you want a fragrance in your home before switching things up. 

The size affects how long the diffuser lasts, not how strong the fragrance is. Both sizes offer the same beautiful scent, so the 16 oz is simply a longer-lasting version for a room where you want that fragrance to stay a little longer. 

Flip the reeds every few days. Flipping them more often will give you a stronger burst of scent, while flipping them less often will keep the fragrance subtler. Just keep in mind that frequent flipping will also cause the fragrance to evaporate more quickly. 

Yes, each Alora diffuser comes with one set of reed sticks. You can purchase replacement stick sets for 8oz Alora reed diffusers here, and for 16oz Alora reed diffusers here, if desired. Replacement is only needed if reeds are lost or damaged, or if you'd simply like a fresh set. 

Alora reed diffusers are generally safe to use around kids and pets, especially since there is no open flame or heat source involved. That said, I always recommend keeping diffusers out of reach of little hands and paws to help prevent spills.

Bringing a Bit of Italy to Every Home

I started Alora Ambiance after my sister Ann and I spent time living in Lake Como, Italy, where the everyday beauty around us inspired what became our category-creating reed diffuser. 

More than 25 years later, every fragrance still carries a piece of that inspiration, along with the Midwestern roots we grew up with on our family farm in southern Minnesota.
